Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to information you send through this website, who else sees it, how long it stays and what you can require of us. It covers Turkish data protection law (KVKK) and, if you are writing from the European Union, the GDPR.
Who is responsible for your data

What we collect
Through the contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, and if you choose to give it, the country the load is going to. The country is optional, nothing else is required and there are no hidden fields. Our hosting provider separately records standard server information for every visit, including IP address, browser type and the page requested, which is how any site tells a person from a bot.
Why we are allowed to hold it
We process an enquiry in order to answer it. Under KVKK that is processing necessary for the establishment and performance of a contract, together with our legitimate interest in responding to a business approach. Under the GDPR the same processing rests on Article 6(1)(b) and Article 6(1)(f). Analytics is different: consent is its only basis, and it happens only if you accept.
Cookies and analytics
There are two kinds of analytics here and the difference between them is the cookie. Vercel Web Analytics counts visits, sets no cookie and stores no persistent identifier that would recognise you, so it runs for everyone and asks you nothing. Google Analytics uses cookies and loads only if you accept the banner; decline and no analytics cookie is set at all, rather than set and disregarded. You can change that second choice at any time using the control at the foot of this page, and declining costs you nothing on the site.
Who else handles it
Three processors and no one else. Resend delivers the mail your form submission becomes. Vercel hosts the site, therefore holds the server logs described above, and provides the cookieless visit count. Google provides the cookie-based analytics, and only after you have accepted. We do not sell data, we do not pass it to other traders, and no advertising network receives anything from this site.
Where it goes
Those providers operate outside Türkiye and in part outside the European Economic Area, so answering your enquiry involves a transfer abroad. We use providers that publish a data processing agreement and rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses for those transfers. If you would rather nothing crossed a border, write to info@eastgate.com.tr directly instead of using the form and say so.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our mailbox for as long as the business relationship, or a realistic prospect of one, lasts. Where an order follows, the commercial and tax records attached to it are kept for the period Turkish law requires. Ask us to delete yours and we will, except where a statutory retention period says otherwise, in which case we will tell you which one and when it ends.
Your rights under KVKK
Article 11 gives you the right to learn whether we process your personal data, to request information about that processing, to learn its purpose and whether the data is used accordingly, to know the third parties it has been transferred to at home or abroad, to have it corrected or deleted, to have any correction notified to those recipients, to object to a result produced solely by automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Your rights under the GDPR
Writing from the European Union, you also hold the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Where processing rests on consent you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was lawful before you did. Withdrawing analytics consent is the one-click version of that right and lives at the foot of this page.
Asking, and complaining
Write to info@eastgate.com.tr. We answer within the period the applicable law allows, which is thirty days under KVKK and one month under the GDPR. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority, or in the European Union to the supervisory authority where you live or work.
