The brand
Çaykur is Türkiye's state tea enterprise, grown and processed on the Black Sea coast around Rize where the climate does most of the work. It is the tea a Turkish household drinks daily, and the reference point everything else in the category gets measured against.
Why it travels
For an importer this is the line with the least substitution risk in the whole range. Someone who drinks Çaykur does not switch to a supermarket own-label, which is why it moves steadily through diaspora retail instead of seasonally.
